Back up and running!!
I am officially back to blogging! We had our internet connected in the new house today and things are running smoothly! Here is what has happened in the last 2 weeks:
Our closing date was finally scheduled for June 8th. By that point, all of our household items had been stored in a U-Haul truck for 5 days!! Things went pretty good though after 1 pm on June 8th. We had Sis. Patty and her family, Bro. Parker and my wonderful parents there to help us unload the truck. Due to timing, we only had about an hour and a half to get EVERYTHING off of the truck. We were running around like crazy. Once unloaded, that was just the beginning. My mom and I worked very hard on Saturday to get the house put into some kind of order because I was so brilliant to schedule a birthday party for Trey that evening at the new house. We had family coming into town so it was a little difficult to reschedule. =) We conquered though! The house looked decent and the party was wonderful. Over the last few days, Robert and I have been grabbing a box and unpacking. God has truly blessed us so much we can't thank Him enough!! I have put some pictures below to share some of our adventure.
New Life News:
Please continue to keep New Life in your prayers. God is doing great things among the lives of the saints. We are kicking this summer off with some great events that we are very excited about.
Last week was the Oklahoma District Junior camp and today kicked off the Oklahoma District Senior Camp. We were very excited that all of our young people were able to attend. We did a Sonic card fundraiser and it completely paid the way for all 4 to go to camp.
July 8th will be our first annual Missions Focus service. We will be doing an outreach in the community on June 30th. Keep that day in your prayers for God's favor.
July 22nd thru 27th is the annual Oklahoma District Camp Meeting!
August 4th is our church rummage sale/bake sale at the church. Raising money to help with remodeling!
If you live in the Edmond area and do not have a local church to attend, please join us on Sundays at 3 pm for a time of Worship and Word or on Thursday evenings at 7:30 for our mid-week Bible Study.
God Bless!
