So thankful!!
What a blessed weekend! I spent the weekend in Kansas City with my family. We celebrated Madison's 8th birthday and had a tea party with all her girlfriends on Saturday evening. I can't believe my little girl is 8 years old (on July 28th)!!! They grow up so fast. She is a wonderful child, great spirit with a personality like her daddy!! I believe all the little girls had great fun according to all the giggles and squeals! =)
Unfortunately, the weekend in KC was spent without my better half with me. He had to work on Saturday. Please keep him in your prayers. While at work on a delivery, a very large stack of composite decking fells off the truck and landed on his leg. He is on crutches and will have an MRI done on the leg tomorrow or Tuesday to find out what kind of damage was done. We are VERY thankful that no bones were broken and it wasn't any worse than it is. I am thankful for God's hand of protection over him.
On Saturday I received a very strange text message from our very own Michelle Gilliland. The message read, "There will be foundation families class today, come find out why your husband smells like syrup!" I just HAD to find out what that meant. =) I attended the Foundation Families class at TLC on Sunday morning. While I am very happy where God has taken us, I miss the class and the people very much. That class helped ground Robert and myself. Bro. and Sis. Gilliland are incredible people. I love how transparent they are. What you see is what you get. They are great role models and we learned many lessons about life under their teaching. WE MISS THE GILLILANDS'! So in case you are wondering about the text. I found out why my husband smells like syrup. =) They are teaching from the book, "Men are like waffles and women are like spaghetti." To sum it up, men live their life in one little compartment or square at a time, like those on a waffle. Women on the other hand are multi-taskers and live life in a scramble like that of spaghetti noodles.
After class, I enjoyed hearing Bro. Gleason's message! "Why wait, praise now!" I don't want to wait until eternity or even tomorrow, I want to live everyday worshipping and praising my Savior! He is worthy of it all! He has blessed me more than I can thank Him for and I want to turn my blessings back into praise unto Him. God moved in a mighty way and touched lives across the sanctuary.
I thank God for a safe trip back home. I didn't have my wonderful children in the car to keep me awake with their giggles, or fighting, depending on their mood. =) God kept His hand of protection over my vehicle. I am safely sitting at home helping my injured husband with whatever he needs. I loved seeing all of my friends this weekend and of course my family! I am so blessed!
LOVE YOU ALL!!
