Wow, how time flies!! I am very sorry for keeping everyone in the dark on our journey here in Edmond. I have not kept the blog up for a couple of months. Life has been a little on the crazy side around here but finally slowing down.

UPDATE:
Summer came to a screeching halt after camp meeting and the school year began. The kids started school, Trey kindergarten and Madi 3rd grade. They both love their teachers and are excelling.  We are finally I think in the routine of making lunches and picking out clothes the night before so the mornings go a little smoother.
My house projects are in full force right now. My living room is completely done and oh how I love it so!

AND.....drum roll please................

This is the living room after all the trim and cabinets were painted white! Not the bed picture, should have taken during the day with natural light. Will add one later.  The brownish chair on the right is staying but will be re-upholstered in a striped fabric. Can't wait!

The picture on the wall was a FUN late night project. Tara and I found an UGLY oil painting at a thrift store but LOVED the frame. We pulled out some paint in grays and blues and just started painting. We made an ocean scene with a small ship on the horizon. I will post close ups when I actually learn how to take a decent photo!

 Having fun with the camera........

It's all in the little details! The children in the picture make the room much better!

Still learning about photography so my picture looks a little yellow....sorry. Lamp is a beautiful pale green color. Didn't get a shot of the table but my wonderful friend Tara found it for me. It is an awesome antique sofa table. Beautiful lines and wood. Keeping it just as it is.

This is my mantle. Haven't decorated it much for fall yet but can't wait for Christmas!

The walls were painted in a soft gray color with the trim a Dove White. This was a HUGE project to tackle but the reward was worth the pain. We love our living room and enjoying hanging out as a family. On to the next one.......Dining Room, Kitchen and Entry!

New Life News!!

God has been so good!! We are making progress at New Life UPC.  We have a new young man, a college student at UCO.  Wonderful worshipper and great kid.  On Thursday nights we have a couple who have been joining us for Bible Study. We finally have the screen working and have had words up for the songs which has been very nice!
We started our new Sunday School hour from 3-3:40.  The young people are doing Personality Plus. All TLC Foundation Family members give me a holler!  They are excited to learn about who they are and what makes them "them." Bro. Whalen is teaching them so I am sure the class will not be dull. The adult class is doing a series called "More to Life Bible Series." I am attempting to teach and share my heart as God speaks. A saint shared her heart with us this past Sunday and while we were all excited but a little nervous about starting the Sunday School time, it was exactly what she needed at the exact time she needed it.  Sometimes we don't realize what we need or what we are searching for but God knows right where we are.  He puts people in our lives for a reason.  While there might just be the four of us in the adult class and 5 in the youth class, it doesn't matter!  Where 2 or 3 are gathered, there HE is in the midst.
Things are moving and God is shaking Edmond. I know God has great things for this city.  Please keep New Life and our family in your prayers.

If you live in the Edmond area and currently do not have a home church, we would love to have you join us on Sundays at 3 pm and Thursdays at 7:30 pm.
