Happy Thanksgiving!!
It is hard to believe the holidays are upon us! Thanksgiving has come and gone and now Christmas is in full swing. I have the Christmas music going, the tree is up and all of the decorations are gleaming around the house.
But I don't want to miss the spirit of the Thanksgiving season. To many in this world have forgotten the true meaning of Thanksgiving and just looking for the best deal at the stores. I am very thankful for my family and the will of God in our life. We are thankful for the small things and the big things.
( you would think it was freezing in my house by the way Madi is dressed )

I am thankful for my children

I am thankful for my husband, he supports me and completes me. We are in this together. He makes me want to be a better person and treats me like a queen. I love you honey!
I am also thankful for my parents who have been the Godly examples throughout my life. My mom has shown me how to be a good wife and mother. She has been a rock in my life and my best friend. My dad has taught me what it means to be a hard worker and to be a true servant in God's kingdom. They collectively teach and show my children the values of being Christlike and makes me strive to be the same. I love them very much and thankful they were able to come spend time with us for Thanksgiving!
I could go on and on but I will stop before the post gets too long. =) God has just been so good and gracious in my life and I can't repay Him enough. As you move into the holidays, just remember what they are TRULY about. Don't get caught up in the hustle and bustle of shopping and what you need to get for Aunt Doris and for Uncle Jim but kick back, put a log on the fire and enjoy time with family.
Happy Holidays from the Whalen's!!!
