Coupons! Coupons! Coupons!

Ok so I broke down and started couponing!  The ladies from TLC inspired me. Excited to learn more. Hopefully Ana Gleason will be able to teach a class there at TLC and I can FaceTime pin on the class. =)  I like hearing when people post on FB or other sites that they bought $300 worth of product and only paid $10!! That in itself is inspiring.
I wasn't quite sure where to start so I just started looking at blogs, my favorite being The Krazy Coupon Lady. She has some great tips and tricks that her and her followers post.
My first adventure was tonight at CVS.  While I missed taking one coupon with me and it might not be a lot to the extreme couponers, here is what I got tonight.

Transaction #1:

- cascade action pack dish detergent:  $4.99

- Dove mens body wash:  $5.00

- Dove mens body wash:  $5.00

- Dove shea butter bar soap $6.50

TOTAL:  $21.49

used coupon for $2 off mens body wash (missed the coupon for $4 off mens dove soap)

used coupon for $1 off cascade

TOTAL: $18.49 , earned $5 ECB, $1 ECB  (with missed coupon would have been $14.49)

Transaction #2

- tres shampoo: $4.79

- tres conditioner: $4.79

- gillette fusion pro razer: $10.99

TOTAL: $20.57

CVS sale on tres shampoo/conditioner: 2/$7

used SS coupon for B1G1 tres shampoo/conditioner, gave me $6

used coupon for $2 off tres shampoo/conditioner

used $5 ECB and $1 ECB

TOTAL: 3.99 & earned $5 ECB (from razor) 

so I spent $23 on $42 dollars worth of product and have a $5 ECB for my next purchase.  

bottom-line:  I'm HOOKED!! I like couponing. I already have a binder set up and ready to get more coupons from Sunday's paper.  

If anyone has any suggestions for where I can get more coupons and any other tips, I will take them!
