Christmas time is here!!

Christmas season as arrived at the Whalen home!   I finally had a chance to get the rest of my Christmas decor up.  Last night, Edmond received about 8 inches of snow!  Needless to say, we received a snow day today. We have been enjoying our day listening to Christmas music, sitting by the fire and drinking hot cocoa.  What a wonderful time of year.

We are celebrating Christmas with the hubs side of the family at our home this year. As I was thinking about a Christmas decor theme, I started looking around at my children, the wonderful saints of New Life, and life in general.  I realized just how busy life has been for us this year.  I decided I wanted to get back to the simple things in life.  So I decided to do an all natural, woodland themed Christmas.  In years past I have decorated the house in all traditional red and green decor but with the new theme, my house feels festive still but also reminds me of true nature.  It reminds me of what God created, which is who the real meaning of Christmas is about anyways!
I pray that everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season. Spend every moment you can, making new memories with family and friends and cherishing ones from times past.
