It's been a year?!

Alright everyone, I can't believe it has been a year since my last post.  2014 blew by and to be honest, I was happy to see it go! 2015 is a new year and it going to be a great year! It has already started off in the right direction.
If you are just visiting for the first time, welcome!  This blog is dedicated to a journey in my families life that started almost 3 years ago!! We have enjoyed every moment of it and regret nothing.  You will read about things happening at our church and in our lives.  I love to DIY, scrapbook, play the piano, and most importantly, I love God!

UPDATE

A quick trip on New Life news back to March of 2014 where I left off.  On March 30th, hubby and I were elected in as pastor of New Life! A VERY exciting day for us as our passion for the city of Edmond has grown over the prior two years. Not only for the city but for the saints of NLUPC.  We love and cherish them dearly. The summer flew by and had its up and downs. But fastforward to November of 2014, by then we had grown by several families.  God has been so good.
By the end of 2014, we had remodeled our ladies' and mens' bathrooms and had decided it was time to do an overhaul on the rest of the building.  Things started to take shape quickly and we are now in full hammer mode. Everyone has been working extremely hard and sacrificing their time and energy. For photos and updates, you can visit us on Facebook by searching for New Life United Pentecostal Church of Edmond.  We would love to have you visit!
That was a quick update on New Life. I could tell you many more stories of great things happening but the post would be too long!!  You will just have to visit back to keep up with the great things that are going to happen this year! =)

On the house front......
Well not much going on in way of projects.  I put them on hold while the church remodel has been taking place but I am ready to get back to them.

In May, 2014, the doctors discovered a mass on my husband's kidney.  It was making him very sick.  We got an army of prayer warriors on the situation and two weeks after it was discovered, we had a great miracle happen. God removed the mass!!!!! The doctors were baffled and did not know what to think.  They sent him in for "exploritory" surgery to make sure they were sure. We knew what happaned and rejoiced in it!!

In July, Maddie girl had a milestone birthday in 2014, she turned 10!!! I am not sure how she grew up so fast on me.  She is growing into a beautiful, Godly young lady.  Very proud of her.

On December 1st, we celebrated the life of my grandma O'Neal.  She lost her battle with Alzheimers. It was a sad time but a time of celebration.  She left a great legacy behind.  There are 17 cousins and we were all able to be there together but 1.  =( We traveled down memory lane a few times, laughed and cried together.

Needless to say, 2014 was a year of breaking and remolding.  Anyone else feel like you had a year like that?

Looking ahead to 2015.................

Our family vacation is just around the corner!! We are spending a week in DC.  Maddie Girl is probably the most excited.  She is really into history and can probably tell us everything we need to know about the momuments and memorials.  We will definitely share pictures of our adventure.

Main goal before summer hits is to complete my major house remodel projects. I am down to just a couple and want to get them done so I can enjoy my summer.

Ok.... finally done. Sorry to bore you with alot of details, just excited to be up and running again. Hope y'all enjoyed.

See ya soon!!!
