ok first things first. This may be a short post but just so excited about what is going on around New Life! Last night at Bible Study we baptized a precious young man. He saw his need to be baptized in Jesus Name, with the freezing cold water and all, down he went. God has been moving in our services and blessing the families of New Life.
We have a long couple months ahead of us with our remodel going on but so very exciting to see the changes happening. The outside of the building is getting complete overhaul starting March 6th. Pictures will be added to our website and I know I will post about it!
So, I want to take a quick moment to speak something that is on my heart today. This comes upon the heels of having a wonderful conversation with one of my dear friends. Let me just brag on her a bit. =) She has been my friend for going on about 8 years now. We have been through thick and thin together, share our hearts and support one another. Almost 3 years ago when we moved to Edmond, it put about 350 miles between us. Not seeing each other every church service or on a whim for breakfast or coffee, puts a cloud if you want to call it over a friendship. No matter how strong a friendship can be, distance will still come between you. She will never know how much those bear hugs mean when we do see each other! What I have learned over the last 3 years is not taking those friendships for granted. Those friendships that have been with you from the beginning of your ministry or through life changes. I am so blessed to call many beautiful, sweet, Godly women my friends. I moved to Oklahoma not knowing many people but along the way have grown close to many women of faith.
Ladies from KC, I cherish your friendship! I love to see posts on FB about your families and to see how much your children have grown. Keep supporting one another, keep worshipping together in the altars of TLC! I can still to this day see and hear the sounds of the great worshippers there.
Ladies from OK, keep doing what you're doing! I may not know many of you well yet but everytime I see your smiling faces at a youth rally or camps, it brings joy and comfort knowing that I am in a section/district that supports and cares for one another.
I know this is a simple thought but cherish those that are close to you and support you. You never know what just a quick text or a hug can mean to that person.
I pray everyone has a blessed day! see you soon.
